What is the Chinchilla

Chinchillas are actually rodents. Rodents are gnawing animals, chinchillas differ from other rodents in that they have a big furry tail, like a squirrel's which is normally about 3-11 inches long. One of the great advantages of chinchillas, is their much longer life span. It is not uncommon for chinchillas to live for 15 years or MORE.

Chinchilla Expenses: Chinchillas are expensive compared with more common, smaller pets. A pet chinchilla can cost from $50 to more than $100. That is  a reasonable price for such a great pet. If your pet lives to be 20 years old, the purchase price of $200 would average out to be only $10 a year! Few such small investments can return so much fun and enjoyment in return!
